WHY TALK TO RAJESH
फोन गरौ, कुरा गरौ, घर किन्ने सपना पुरा गरौ।
Buying a home in a new country is a big step. The rules, the paperwork and the bank language can feel hard. You should be able to ask every question in the language you think in.
I am Rajesh Kandel, Senior Mortgage Broker at Everest Home Loans. Since 2015 I have helped families buy, build and refinance across Australia, including Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie.
Before broking I worked as a nurse in aged care and hospitals. I understand shift work, penalty rates and overtime, and how lenders treat that income.
We talk in Nepali, Hindi or English, by phone or video call. You get the same broker from your first question to settlement day and after.
We compare 40+ banks and lenders to find the right loan for you, not just one bank's options.
The same broker from your first question to settlement day, then yearly loan reviews.
Full service in English, Nepali and Hindi, from a broker who shares your background.

Tasmania pays a $20,000 grant on new homes, and shared equity can cut your deposit to 2%. I check every scheme you qualify for.
Selling and buying, moving closer to schools or work, or buying your next home. I work out your borrowing power across lenders, not just one bank.
Popular in Brighton, Sorell, Kingston, Legana and Latrobe. I set up the land and construction loans so your deposit, grant and progress payments line up.
Paying more than new customers or coming off a fixed rate? I compare your loan across 40+ lenders and handle the switch.

ALSO WORTH CHECKING
Stamp duty

First Home Super Saver (FHSS)
Save for your deposit through voluntary super contributions.
Most schemes need you to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and MyHome needs you to live in Tasmania. I check each scheme against your situation before you sign a contract.
Buying a block and building is popular in Brighton, Sorell, Kingston, Legana and Latrobe. It needs a different loan setup from buying an established home.
Step 1
You buy the block first, then sign a fixed-price building contract with your builder.
Step 2
The lender pays your builder in stages: slab, frame, lock-up, fixing and completion. You usually pay interest only on what is drawn.
Step 3
If you are eligible, the $20,000 First Home Owner Grant can go towards your build.
Step 4
The loan moves to normal repayments once your home is finished.
I help you check the builder contract, the bank valuation and any cost gaps before you commit. Planning for variations and site costs early avoids stress at slab or lock-up.
A refinance review takes about 20 minutes. I look at:
✓ Your rate against what other lenders offer you today
✓ Whether a fixed rate is ending soon
✓ Combining car loans or cards into one repayment, where it makes sense
✓ Using equity to buy land, build or buy an investment property
If staying with your current lender is better, I tell you that too.
✓ New permanent residents and citizens with a short Australian work history
✓ Nurses, aged care, disability support and healthcare shift income
✓ Uber, delivery and self-employed ABN income
✓ Partner and skilled visa holders
✓ Overseas income and gifted deposits from family
On a temporary visa? You may need approval from the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) and pay Tasmania's foreign buyer duty surcharge. Grants, MyHome and the 5% Deposit Scheme are not available. I explain your options before you start looking.

The exemption for first home buyers of established homes up to $750,000 covered settlements to 30 June 2026. Duty rules depend on your contract and settlement dates, so I check what applies before you sign.
The lender pays your builder in stages as the home is built. You usually pay interest only on the amount drawn. Once the home is complete, the loan moves to normal repayments.
Often yes. Many lenders count regular overtime, shift allowances and penalty rates if you can show a steady history. I match you with lenders that treat this income well.
In most cases, no. The lender pays the broker a commission. I tell you the amount before you proceed.
